What is it made of?

Well what exactly is this “Violet Wand“?

Let me answer those questions one by one.

No, it’s not for fairies.
It is use by humans especially during the 1920’s and 30’s as a quack medical device.

No, it’s not made in Japan.
It is invented and mainly manufactured in Eastern-Germany. Nikola Tesla is the inventor of this device (famous for his invention of the Tesla Coil).

It is made of a coil, capacitor and a gas-filled glass tube. In short, electricity.
When the electrical charge travelled through gas-filled glass tubes, it excited the gas and caused it to glow.

Wish? You wish!
I have specified that it is a “quack medical device”, right? It depends on the person who uses it. If his wish of getting cured by this device came true, so be it! Sometimes, its psychological.
However, if were not talking about curing disease or any serious illnesses (like what other people claim), then I think this device could be use in some other ways. For instance, in acne and hair loss treatment.
