Grimace
Saturday, October 18, 2008Why am I making a post entitled GRIMACE? Does it have any connection to the color purple?
We all know that grimace is a facial expression, right? Like this…
Inorder for my post to fit the theme of my blog, which is purple, there should be something purplely about this grimace thingy…
Here it is!

Now we’re talking!
We all see him at McDonald’s and this is how they describe him:
Grimace is a big, loving, fuzzy purple fellow who is Ronald McDonald’s best friend. He’s sure Ronald is the world’s ultimate authority on everything. While Grimace loves all McDonald’s foods, he’s absolutely crazy about milkshakes. Grimace is very enthusiastic and eager to try new things. His joyous spirit helps everyone overlook the fact he’s a little slow and clumsy sometimes.
Let me describe Grimace, my way!
Well he’s fat, he’s purple; he’s got short arms and legs, and it’s purple; he’s ugly, but he’s purple; he’s shape like a christmas tree, yet he’s purple.
I short, all I see when I look at Grimace… is PURPLE!
Here are some info about Grimace:
- a walking, talking taste-bud
- slow-witted
- his expression is “duh”
- originally, he was the Evil Grimace
- he used to have two pairs of arms
- he steals milkshakes
- now, he is revised to be one of the “good guys”
- Frank Welker is behind the voice of Grimace in commercials
- he has relative, Uncle O’Grimacey, green-colored version of himself use during St. Patrick’s Day (he is green, so nevermind)
- In UK and Australia, he is no longer used in advertising or promotions. (Why? Because he is purple? How could you! Or maybe because he is stupid? hmmmm…)
- In Brazil he is called “Shaky”
- In Quebec and Canada, he is known as “Grosse Douceur” means “Big Sweet” (So Grimace is sweet? hmmm.. Taste’s sweet? because he is a purple yam? Yummy…)
