Originally, the name of the show was Barney and the Backyard Gang. It is a series of home videos created from 1988 to 1991.
The character was supposed to be a bear, but Sheryl’s son loves dinosaurs, so dinosaur it is!

Now it is known as Barney and Friends. It was first aired on US television in April 1992 on PBS.

barney is just about the only species of dinosaur that comes across as cute — a pretty amazing feat considering how fierce most of these reptiles were

all this stuff about barney = devil, now that’s funny. i wonder what they’ll think of next

there's actually more weird stuff that they already came up with. Like Barney being friends with Hitler and him killing Tinky Winky.. haha!

Aww! I usually watch Barney when I was a kid… And I even had a crush one of the kids there! =)) Hmmm…. I think this answers the question “Why can’t I see him again on Barney?” =)) TSSSK.
