Purple Worm on board!
Tuesday, October 28, 2008PURPLE WORM?? me?? Nah ah! If that’s real, I’ll hate Purple Worm! Hmp!Good thing it’s just a miniature piece from Dungeons & Dragons universe.
Before I describe my Purple Worm miniature, I’ll give you first a brief background about this game.
- fantasy role-playing game (RPG)
- miniature wargame (a form of wargaming that incorporates miniature figures and modeled terrain)
- designed by E. Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson
- published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc
- currently published by Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro
So this is not like ur usual RPG, which is of course online. This one’s on board!
D&D’s publication is widely regarded as the beginning of modern role-playing games. (thought so!)
Now, PURPLE WORM!
- a mottled worm
- Dungeons & Dragons’ first monsters in the earliest edition of the game (1974)
- 50-foot long burrowing worm
- constantly in search of food that can swallow human-sized creatures whole
What about Purple worm’s strategy in the game?
Well according to reviews, this one’s a beast! Swallow Whole! Medium sized? Smaller creature? Better runaway! Your piece is a goner on a single attack thats not likely to miss. It can engulf you, and as soon as that happened it will start to digest you! (Bwahahaha!) If you have a pet in this game, be careful! Once it is swallowed it will instantly die! DIE!!!!
Purple Worm is a catch! Not only because it’s such a strong monster but also because it’s a classic. Almost all RPG collector would want it!
I think I’d like to have one of these as well… even though it looks horrible! It’s purple so i’ll consider it! =)
