Though today is Valentine’s day, my post is not about relationships and love. Well maybe there’s still love involve but in a different way…

Love for Country.

It’s all about the Purple Heart!

Eligibility: U.S. Military Personnel
Awarded for: Being wounded or killed in any action against an enemy of the United States or as a result of an act of any such enemy or opposing armed forces.
Status: Currently Awarded
First awarded: 22 February 1932
