Today is PURPLE day!
What exactly are we celebrating today?
Is it the color purple? Hmmmm… Not!
Purple Day is an international awareness about epilepsy!

Nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada was the founder of purple day last 2008.
People from around the world were asked to wear purple to spread the word about epilepsy.

What is epilepsy?
Epilepsy is a condition of the brain that is characterized by recurrent seizures. Approximately one in ten people will experience at least one seizure during a lifetime. A single seizure, however, is not epilepsy. Epilepsy is a condition that is defined by multiple seizures.

PS: Actually, I have no idea that today is purple day, that there is such awareness about it. (Shame on me purple lover)
I only found out about it when I received a message from my group in Facebook, For the Love of Purple.
But guess what?! I am wearing PURPLE today! hehehe.. oh well! =)

well, i’ve everything purple here with me! so pwede na! i pray for all people with epilepsy. i’ll try to remember this day!

@mordsith, yep Cassidy.. hehe.. purple stripe shoe.. hmmmm… that could count! But wear it everyday though..

I better remember it too, i think i could nmn. Malapit dn kasi ung date sa special day ko w/ someone.. hihihi..
